Treaty Ports, 1888-1903 Amoy to U.S. 3 items; to New York (2) and Savanna, Georgia, 1888 - 1903. 1) 1c QV postal card (toned), with 2c carmine added to make up 3c rate, cancelled "Amoy De 31 88" (allocated to Amoy sub-PO by Proud: type 1), "Hong Kong Ja 3 89" transit cds on back, on front small two-circle dater with "New York Feb 6" in left circle and "Paid All" with "PO" in right circle, and "D 2-6-89 N.Y." directory service marks, front and back. This "Paid All" is over seven years later than recorded by Winter (type 265b: 24 Jan 77 - 2 Oct 81). 2) QV 2c green and 4c carmine pair cancelled "Amoy De 1 02" (Proud type D6) to person at Savannah Electric Co., with back-stamps: "Victoria Hong Kong De 7 02", "San Francisco Cal Ja 9 1903", and "Savannah / Ga Ja 14 1903". 3) QV 2c green and KE 8c grey and violet stamps cancelled "Amoy Jy 11 03" (Proud type D6), with "San Francisco Cal Au 7 1903", and "New York Aug 11 1903" back-stamps. KE 8c stamp (SG 66 issued Feb 1903) was used five months earlier from Amoy than recorded by Proud (3 Dec 03), Very Fine. Estimate $300 - 400.
