Confederacy, Rock Island, Ill., prisoner letter to Nashville, Tenn., U.S. 1861, 3¢ entire postmarked "Rock Island, Ill., Jan 16, 65" cds and target duplex, blue examiner's oval handstamp at left, with original enclosure datelined "Rock Island Prison Ill., Barrack No. 9, January 15th, 1865", interesting content regarding the Trans Miss troops and others war matters which was not allowed in prisoner's letters: some cover staining and edge wear, also additional cover from correspondence from Old Point Comfort, Va. with "Flag of Truce" notation, Fine.
