Confederacy, Sandusky, O., prisoner cover to Richmond, Va. with "Flag of Truce Boat via Fortress Monroe" endorsement at left, franked with U.S. 1861, 3¢ rose which the "U.S." portions of design have been skillfully painted over in cross-hatch design with gray, white and black paint, tied by grid with matching "Sandusky, O., Nov 7" cds and "Ex P.H.H." examiner's initials alongside, "Richmond, Va., Nov 21" receiving cds with matching "Due 2" and oval "Held For Postage" handstamps, Extremely Fine, a wonderful and choice prisoner cover.
