San Francisco, Cal. (San Francisco) Balance Lot. Small lot of 17 covers from the 1850's-70's from San Francisco with various markings, included is two covers franked with 1851 3¢ orange brown pair, one cover with attractive 1857 10¢ type tied by cds, two covers with straight line "Advertised" handstamp & "Due 1¢" manuscript rate, 10¢ entire with spindle hole through the indicia demonetizing the entire & handstamped with "P.O. Business Free" & the handstamp of the Postmaster, plus 3¢ entire additional franked with four 3¢ 1867 Grills addressed to Germany, one entire with unusual straight line "Way" handstamp, etc., mixed condition, F.-V.F., worth inspection.
