Incomplete strike of red straight line handstamp on cover to New York & franked with 1857 3¢ dull red tied by "New Orleans" cds, flap torn, F.-V.F., a nice example of this rare Toby's Express cover, One of several private expresses which operated in the mid-to-late 1850's in conjunction with the Opelousas Railroad. Estimate $300 - 400.
