Oval postmark and "Ship" handstamp on 1840 folded letter to Brazoria, Texas from Fort Ann, N.Y., manuscript "Paid 25" crossed out and re-rated "31¼", reverse with Wm Bryan N.O. forwarder's oval on the reverse, large water stain at the lower right and repairs at top, Fine and rare. Estimate $250 - 350.
