Blue straight line handstamp with matching bold "6" rate handstamp on 1846 folded cover from Belgium to New Orleans, postmarked "Tongres" red double circle postmark with matching small red boxed "PD" (Paid to Destination) handstamp, which has been crossed out with manuscript "P.F." (Paid to Frontier) marking, various other markings including French accounting on reverse, Very Fine and unusual. Estimate $100 - 150.
