Position 81L1E, ample margins to just in at left and shaving scrolls at bottom yet clearly showing outer line break at bottom, tied by grid cancel on 1851 local Lancaster, O. circular, F.-V.F., a rare usage of this unusual double transfer variety considered the finest example of this type from Plate 1, Scott catalog $1,450 for off cover; signed Ashbrook and 1954 letter regarding cover.
