1852, 3¢ dull red, type I. S.e. at left showing plate guideline line and portion of adjacent stamp, tied by "Brunswick, Me., Mar 15, 1860" forwarding cds on folded letter from Liverpool, England, oval "Forwarded By, E.J. Crocker & Co., Liverpool" handstamp and "Liverpool, Fe 22, 60" cds, entered the U.S. mails with "Portland, Me., Am. Pkt., 24, Mar 13, 1860" exchange cds with stamp and forwarding postmark applied over, "3 cents" forwarding due handstamp crossed out, Very Fine, an unusual and very rare usage.
