Cut to shape, tied by pencil cancel on 1852 folded letter to Amsterdam, N.Y., in combination with 1851, 3¢ dull red, type II tied by "New York, Sep 10" cds; cover with small corner fault at bottom right, F.-V.F., an extremely rare to-the mails combination usage with only a few such examples known; with 2009 P.F. certificate.
