Boyd's City Express, 1848, 2¢ black on yellow green unglazed. Margins to touching at right (small faults), grid canceled on 1850 folded letter to New Orleans, La., faint red New York circular datestamp and "10" rate handstamp, forwarded to Natchez, Miss. with red "New Orleans La., Apr. 13" cds and manuscript "ford 5" rate notation, additional "2/17"due which may have been for steamboat captain's fee for the trip to Natchez or an advertised fee, F.-V.F., an interesting and unusual usage.
