First Restored Packet, June 1783. Entire Quaker letter and invoice dated "Dungannon Mo5/17 1783" addressed to the Philadelphia merchant and philanthropist Samuel Coats. Carried by the first restored packet to New York leaving Falmouth 23rd June 1783. Rated 2 Shillings ("2N") at Falmouth. On arrival at New York that office endorsed the letter "NY recd 13 Augt" and "2/ Ster" Atlantic transit of 51 days; cover edge nicks at top and bottom, otherwise Very Fine.
