Massachusetts to Chile, 1866, Prepaid 34 cents by Stamps, U.S. packet to Panama. Then British Packet to South America, credited 25 cents, of which one cent was retained for Panama transit and the remaining 24 cents (equal to one shilling) then credited to Great Britain. Franked with 1861, 30¢ orange + 1863, 2¢ black, pair with s.e. at left; stamps with small faults including a tear in pair and cover tone spots, all markings strong, F.-V.F. appearance, a scarce and most attractive cover.
