Cds on 1866 cover to England franked with 1861 10¢ green strip of three (s.e. at right, perfs trimmed off top of second & third stamps) tied by target cancels, "Prepaid" manuscript notation, red "New-York Am Pkt., 3, Sep 1" and red London exchange markings, Halstead Sep 14 receiving postmark (with year date) on the back, small portion of top backflap missing & couple small edge tears, Very Fine and attractive, the 24¢ rate to England is overpaid by 6¢ after July 1, 1863, ex-Myerson; signed Ashbrook with his analysis.
