Wells Fargo & Co. red frank, at center on 10¢ Star Die entire to New York City, carried by Wells, Fargo & Co. via Los Angeles over the Butterfield Route in 1861 to it's eastern terminus where it entered the U.S. mails with "Saint Louis, Mo., Oct 26" cds; minor stain and slightly reduced at left, otherwise Very Fine, a very scarce red frank usage on a 10¢ Star Die entire.
