Confederacy, 1862, 5¢ Blue, Archer & Daly Printing, block of eight, large margins all around except barely touches lower left corner, cancelled by two neat strikes of "San Antonio Tex. Paid Oct 15" cds, tiny tear and light vertical crease at left, Very Fine appearing, This is the largest recorded used block of this stamp from Texas.; with 2009 C.S.A. certificate. Scott No. 7 Estimate $500 - 750.
Although the stamps are light in color, there are too many small plate flaws to be the De La Rue printing. This is apparently an early Richmond printing on De La Rue paper.
