Canada, Revenue Collection, well formed collection housed in two Van Dam albums; starting with 1864 first bill issues including perf variations and a section of plate errors with many on large sheet margin blocks (errors catalog $150-$500 in Van Dam), 1865 second bill issues with 8¢ trial color inscription block of 8 and high value bicolor trials, regular issues complete with additional n.h. $3 high value, errors including a $1 brown red and green center (unlisted) and a $3 vertical pair imperf horizontal (sealed tear, FB36a, cat $4,000), 1868 3rd bill issue near complete with $1 imperf block, Gas Inspection issues with unused set without control #'s, 1875 first issue complete and strong completion thereafter with several complete sets, similar weights & measures issues, Supreme Court issues with better mint including FSC20 mint n.h. (cat $500) and In Prize issues FSC29-FSC30 (cat $600 & $650), good showing of War Tax & Excise Tax issues with a mixed range of later, Provincial issues similar including some specimen material as well as some better issues including the Manitoba 1887 Provisionals (ML-13-ML15, total cat $1,300), collection also includes a nice section of tobacco revenues including scarce proofs; a nice collection and an excellent basic for continuation.
