Cook Exhibition Collection, intact 7 frame comprehensive exhibition collection, entailing proofs, regular issues including the myriad of shades and perf varieties including better and scarce items present, plate varieties including a section on re-entries, officials and overprint issues from the Dependencies; starting with the 1898 first issue showing the cataloged shades and perfs then expounding upon these, perf varieties including imperf between pair (S.G. 246a, cat £1,600, with Odenweller cert.), proofs including Waterlow sample sheets of 9, on cover usages including scarce destination and interesting usages, perf 15½ presentation pack issue (given to dignitaries when they left office), corresponding postal stationery issues including scarce Ultramar overprint entire, similar 1900-08 issue comprehensive with the better paper & perf types present, including extensive perf varieties on the Pirie paper issues, similar Basted Mills paper issues including imperf vertically bottom margin block of 4 (S.G. 287a, cat £750), following Cowan unwatermarked paper issues with better perf varieties including perf 11 block of four (S.G. 293, cat £640), wmked issues including two imperf vertically pairs (S.G. 302a, cat £550), plate blocks and a host of mixed perf blocks and single, dandy roll watermarks, sheet repair items, etc., Cowan paper issue including imperforate block of 4 (S.G. 374a, £600) and the three side imperf in pair (S.G.382a, cat £375) and block of 20 with two different perf se-tenent, etc., Official issues include the scarce O.P.S.O. handstamp issue (S.G. O13, cat £650, with Brandon cert.) and the rare Reefton Provisional (S.G. P1, cat $1,400, with Odenweller cert.), section of the 1900-08 ½d green on cover including overseas registered usages, packetboat, unusual usages including "chain letter" post card, usages outside N.Z. includes Dependencies issues with some nice on cover usages and better stamps including Niue inverted overprint, regular issues used in Fanning Island, etc.; a wonderful comprehensive collection, a must see to truly appreciate.
