1853 Crystal Palace, "New - York, Jul 22, 1853", full bold strike of rare year date postmark tying 1851, 3¢ dull red (four close to ample margins) on cover to Berlin, Conn, with stamp affixed over another 3¢ stamp, Extremely Fine, this postmark is thought to have been used in conjunction with the Crystal Palace Exhibition, however there is no evidence to support this, in any case this is a very scarce marking which is known used from July 11 to July 25, 1853.; with 1985 P.F. certificate. Scott No. 11 Estimate $400 - 600.
