(Usages) 3¢ Orange Brown, Type I, left margin guidline single canceled by square grid handstamp on 1851 folded Phelps, Dodge & Co. invoice, red "New - York, July 13" cds, with handstamp on inside billing "To encourage the cheap Postage system, we pre-pay all letters. P.D. & Co.", accompanied by 1852 New Haven, Con. merchant corner card cover with printed "We Always Pre-Pay" at top; stamp on former with small corner crease, otherwise Very Fine.
