(Usages) 3¢ Orange Brown, Type I, mostly torn away from cover dateliend "August 18th, 1851" from writer working aboard ship travelling between Havana and Charges (probably aboard the contract mail steamship S.S. Falcon), to Cohoes, N.Y. entering the mails with red "New Orleans, La., Aug 22" cds, matching "Steam" handstamp and manuscript "10" rate applied over portion of stamp, interesting letter mentioning sending affects and letters home by the ships Empire City, Georgia, Ohio and Cherokee, Very Fine, an interesting usage.
