10¢ Yellow Green, used with two 1861, 1¢ blue singles and 1861, 3¢ rose, all tied by matching strikes of NYFM circular grid cancel on cover to Lucerne, Switzerland, "N. York Am. Pkt. Paid Apr 28" exchange cds, magenta "16" credit crossed out and updated to "4" cents, endorsed "pr Str Bremen", blue "America/uber Bremen/Franco" three-line handstamp, red crayon "1¼" credit rating, Lucerne (5.11) arrival backstamp, forwarded upon receipt to Basel, Briefdistribution (5.12) arrival backstamp; left 1¢ with small tear, Very Fine and interesting use.
Scott No. 68 + 63 (2), 65    Estimate $500 - 750.

The cover was apparently prepaid for the 15¢ rate to Bremen but the rate to Switzerland via Bremen-Hamburg mails was 19¢. It was treated as fully prepaid by the New York exchange office.
