Confederacy, Quincy Flor. Aug 24, partial strike of cds ties 1863, 10¢ blue, four margins, on cover from the Cobb Correspondence addressed to Mrs. Lamar Cobb, Athens, Georgia; slightly reduced at right, minor backflap tear, Very Fine.

Capt (later Maj) Lamar Cobb (1840-1907), an Athens lawyer, served as AAG to his father, Maj-Gen Howell Cobb. Cover is addressed to his wife and is very likely in his own hand.
