Harrison, Martinsburg Berkeley Co., Va., clean and Very Fine.

Martinsburg in Berkeley County would later in 1863 be incorporated into the Union State of West Virginia. The addressee was the widow of Lieutenant Peyton R. Harrison (1832-1861) Co D 2nd Va Inf as Lieutenant Harrison was Killed-in-Action the previous summer at First Manassas 7/21/1861.
