Confederacy, 1863, 10¢ Blue, four margins, tied by "Culpeper CH Va. Oct 22" cds on turned cover to Mrs. D. S. Redding in Griffin, Ga., second use bearing 1863, 10¢ blue tied by "Forsythe, Ga Jan 7" cds to Mr. Wm M. Blanton, Griffin, Ga.; some edgewear, F.-V.F.
Scott No. 12    Estimate $150 - 200.

The sender of the 1st use was Lieut Daniel S. Redding Co D 45th Ga Inf. Lieut Redding was promoted Capt 1/23/1865 and captured as a POW at Petersburg, Va 4/2/1865. He was released from Johnsons Island 6/19/1865.
