Alaska Territory Postal History Collection, 1898-1945, tracing the gold rush in Alaska and the Canadian Yukon, consisting of 11 covers and 28 early picture postcards, a number of which with rare markings and dates, starting in 1898 at the start of the gold rush, of the covers - the earliest bearing "U.S. Post Office, Alaska, Nov 7, 1898" duplex (pictured in Helbock Postmarks of Territorial Alaska, page 178) and marked No Stamps and sent postage due, other very early covers are from Fort Yukon, Rampart, Nome and Cordova with cover posted on May 11, 1911 and carried by "Airways Inc. of Cordova" from the interior with printed label (an early commercial aviation carrier), second part illustrates the gold rush in the Canadian Yukon with cards and covers of the same period from White Horse, Skagway, Dawson and Vananda; a well written-up and illustrated collection, Very Fine, ex G. Bleuler.
