(Naval) 1898 Spanish American War Naval Collection, collection of 40 cover and cards mounted on pages comprising mail from Naval ships during the war, including some patriotics and sailor's letter postage due uses, 1898 U.S.S. Kingtor (later Caeser), three 1898-99 USS Dixie, 1901 "U.S.S. Yankton, Sailor's Letter, Lt. Commander, Cmd'g" handstamp posted in Cuba to Port Huron Mich., 1899 USS Panther handstamp posted at San Juan, 1900 USS Scorpion posted in Colombia, 1898 USS Boston posted at Hon Kong with HK 10¢ to USS Monocacy at Shanghai China, USS Nero cover with handrawn patriotic and "U.S. Mil. Sta. No. 2 S.F., Cal/Cavite, P.I., Dec 1 98" two-line postmark (cover repair top left), USS Bennington used from Hawaii to Mare Island, five 1899-01 USS Petrel uses including two from Cavite Mil. Sta. No. 2 (Petrel was part of Dewey's Squadron at Manila Bay), 1899 USS Princeton "Sailor's Letter" h.s. posted at Hong Kong with HK 10¢, etc.; some mixed condition.
