1862 (Mar. 14) London, England to Bowdoinham Me., datelined folded letter from Baring Brothers with "London, MR 14, 62" square chamfered postmark and "19 / Cents" debit handstamp, carried as endorsed by Cunard Line China from Liverpool Mar. 15th to New York arriving Mar. 26th, "N. York Br. Pkt. '24' Mar 27" exchange due handstamp, docketing at right indicating sent to Baring Bros., F.-V.F.
Estimate    $150 - 200.

This was carried on the Maiden Voyage of the Cunard Line "China" during which she broke her shaft and had to resort to sail for 4 days.
