1869, 15¢ brown & blue, type II, two covers from the same correspondence to France, first bearing vertical pair and two singles prepaying the quadruple rate, each cancelled by target cancel, red "Providence R.I., Nov 23" cds and matching "Paid" in circle handstamp, red "New York 'Paid 24' Nov 24" exchange cds ties singles for four-times the 6¢ credit, blue Calais Dec. 5th entry cds, Menton (12.6) arrival backstamp; second bearing vertical pair and strip of three, cancelled by matching target cancels, red "Providence R.I. Oct 22" cds and matching "Paid" in circle handstamp, red "New York 'Paid' Oct 23" exchange cds with red crayon "24" cents updated to correct "30" cents for five-times the 6¢ credit, blue Calais (11.4) entry cds and red "PD" framed handstamp, Menton (11.5) arrival backstamp, both with original enclosed contents; some cover wear and small stamp faults including some trimmed perfs, Very Fine; each with 2016 P.F. certificate.
