United States Collection, 1847-2015, meticulously assembled in mounts housed in 14 albums, virtually all mint from 1890's on with a high degree of never hinged and allover centering generally VF to VF-XF; starting with nice used 4-margin #1 and some additional early classics somewhat sparse but condition well above the norm overall, includes an interesting run used shade studies from #11 though 1894 definitives assembled by J. Birkenbine, some nice later mint Banknote issues, nice selection of Columbians including 50¢, watermarked Bureaus up to mid-values, Pan-Ams complete, 1902 definitives to the 15¢, Louisiana and Jamestown complete, nice selection of Washington-Franklin issues starting with the 1908 issue to the 15¢, good later coil issue singles and the occasional plate block and later shade studies, private perf items, etc., 1¢-2¢ bluish, 1¢-5¢ Pan-Pacifics, later completion including 1917-19 issue including #500 n.h., 4th Bureaus starting with 1922-26 definitives complete with additional mint shade studies up to the $5 (573 & 573a), later with #578-579 coil wastes, 2¢ type II issues present, White Plains sheet, Kans-Nebr complete (again well center overall), later completion with additional material including Park Special Printing gummed pairs, Prexie with shade study, National Defense imperf between and some later error material, back-of-the-book issues with mint airmails complete, special delivery strong with E1 and later choice issues mint, Parcel Post lacking only 50¢, study of the Special Handling issues, strong mint Postage Due issues including many shades and later completion, Offices in China to mid-values, etc., accompanied by 65 certificates; an choice and interesting collection, well worth careful evaluation.
