Confederacy, (West Virginia) Harpers Ferry (West) Va., partial cds with matching "Paid" and "10" rating handstamps on orange buff cover to Greensboro Ala., with lengthy 8-page original soldier's letter datelined "Harper's Ferry Va, June 12th/61" from the "11th Miss Inf" that mentions among other things regiments in camp from Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee and even one from Baltimore; minor edge repairs and reduced at right, Fine and good letter. Estimate $200 - 300.
The 11th Mississippi was part of Gen. Joe Johnson's Army of the Valley and fought at the 1st Manasas (7/21/61).
