Baird back home and later correspondence, better includes 1898-1901 Spanish American war related mail from Philippines, includes better usages like 1899 "Mil. Sta. No. 1, Phil.Isl'd" use of folded 20 U.S. Cartridge Co.45 caliber shell box datelined on inside "In the Field, Feb 10 '99" to his mother in San Francisco, Capuchines Convent flag patriotic cover with #279B tied by Mil. Sta. No. 1 Philippines duplex, purple "US. Mil. Sta. No. 2 S.F., Cal / Cavite, P.I. Dec 19. 98" two-line postmark ties #279B to San Francisco, "Mil. P Sta. No. 5, Bacolod, P.I., Jul 14, 1899" duplex on 2¢ green entire to San Francisco, several soldier letter's with censor handstamps, numerous usages with the Manila military station duplexes, etc., few Hawaii and foreign usages while on leave, later includes some WWI censors, etc.; mixed condition as usual with intact correspondences, F.-V.F., wonderful correspondence offered to auction for first time.
