George S. Farley operated from a base at Camptonville Cal. He ran express service from Camptonville to the mining camps at Indian Creek and Young's Hill in the Yuba County area. He used the Camptonville post office for connections. It is reported he had a number of drop boxes attached to trees at different locations along streams that he would check as he made his rounds on his express runs. The "blank" Farley's handstamp with manual town entry was designed for towns so small that Farley's couldn't justify them having their own handstamp.
