Nova Scotia, 1843 (Jun. 17) New Orleans La. to Southampton, England, blue folded letter with blue "New Orleans La. Jun 19" cds and matching "Paid" handstamp with "25" cent rating, endorsed "By Boston & Liverpool Steamer", carried by Cunard Columbia from Boston Jul. 1st wrecking on Seal Island, reserve steamer Margaret carried mails departing Jul. 9th to Liverpool arriving Jul. 23rd, "L / America" oval handstamp and "1/-" shilling h.s. for packet rate, reverse with red London (7.25) and Southampton (7.26) arrival cds, clean and Very Fine.
