President Steamer", red "New-York, Ship, Aug 18" cds with manuscript "20¾" due rating for 18¾¢ inland plus 2¢ ship fee, Canada manuscript "1/5½" due rating for 11d cy U.S. debit plus 4½d cy inland, Very Fine and scarce maiden voyage, ex-Pullin. The "President" was a vessel of the British & American Steam Navigation Company, which also owned the "Sirius" and the "British Queen". The "President" was lost without a trace on her third eastbound sailing.
