Mexico, 1868, Hidalgo (thick figures, imperf), 100c black on brown, quadrisect, Lagos, upper left portion of stamp tied by full bold Tepatitilan oval handstamp (Schatzkes #689) on cover front to Guadalajara, undated, Very Fine, with photocopy of a Tepatitlan 100c vertical bisect cover, confirming the use of splits in from this small town; with 2008 and with 1975 M.E.P.S.I. certificate signed by John Bash stating that it is not possible to tell whether the stamp is a Scott #50a or a 64c.
