Trinidad, 1853, "Britannia" engraved (1d) brownish red, imperf, blued paper, ample well balanced margins, tied by light boxed 1 grid handstamp on 1854 folded letter to Danzig, Prussia, with manuscript "Via Southampton & Ostende" routing endorsement and "2/2" rating, reverse with "Trinidad, My 10, 1854" origin cds, red London "Paid, Ju 5, 1854" cds with matching "P." in oval handstamp, red bold "England Per Aachen, Franco, 6/6" transit cds; stamp lifted for identification and hinged back in place, Very Fine and choice.
