(Amador) Butte City, Cala., June 29, 1858, bold manuscript postmark (AMA-190, R5) on stampless folded letter cover, red handstamp "5" crossed out and manuscript "3" added, vertical file fold and few minor stains, F.-V.F., this post office only operated for 14 months, this being the only cover known from Butte City, ex-Tatham (where it realized $500 hammer).
