1857, 10¢ green, type III, two folded letters to Vera Cruz, Mexico paying the six time rate; includes Horizontal Strip of Six, rich color, tied by "New Orleans, La., Apr 15, 1859" cds's on folded letter sheet to Vera Cruz, Mexico from the Hargous correspondence, "8" reales inland rate handstamp, other a Horizontal Strip of Four, positions 24-27R1, in combination with 1857, 10¢ green, type II, horizontal pair (32) positions 14-15R1, on folded letter sheet to Vera Cruz, Mexico, tied by "New Orleans, La., Oct 15, 1857" cds's, "7" reales inland rate handstamp; last stamp in strip with s.e. and a few short perfs at bottom, Very Fine, the former ex-Knapp and with 1999 A.P.S. certificate.
