1861-66 (1875 Re-issue), 5¢ brown, neat duplex cancel, choice centering amid wide margins, beautiful rich deep color, Very Fine and choice, one of the few used examples of the 672 that were issued, ex-Haas & R. Collier; with 1966 (copy), 1991 and 2009 P.F. certificates.

AN EXCEPTIONAL AND RARE USED EXAMPLE OF THE 1861 5¢ RE-ISSUE IN SOUND CONDITION.

There were 10,000 stamps of the 5¢ Re-Issue printed (100 impressions from the new plate of 100). Only 672 of the 5¢ were sold, the remaining 9,328 were destroyed on July 16, 1884.
