THE ONLY KNOWN USAGE OF THE BICOLOR JEFFERSON DAVIS MEDALLION PATRIOTIC DESIGN USED FROM CONFEDERATE OCCUPIED KENTUCKY.

This letter was mailed prior to February of 1862. At this time four Louisiana regiments occupied Kentucky, including the Shreveport Rebels.
