Jan 31, 1861" cds, red "New-York, Br. Pkt., Feb 27" exchange backstamp and matching "12" cent credit handstamp, carried by Cunard Line Africa from New York Feb. 27th to Queenstown arriving Mar. 10th, red "Aachen, Franco 12/2" framed transit and magenta "f 2" sgr credit rating, blue Hamburg (3.14.61) oval transit backstamp and Aabenraa (3.15) arrival backstamp; 30¢ diagonal crease at top right, sealed cover tear at left and some overall wear, Fine and scarce use at the 35¢ Prussian Closed Mail rate, ex-Starnes.
