(Switzerland) 1859 (Jan. 6) Winesburgh Oh. to Oberthal, Switzerland, buff cover bearing 5¢ red brown (28), 10¢ green, type II (32) and 12¢ black (36), all tied by neat "Winesburg, O. Jan 6" cds and matching "Paid" handstamp, partial red New York Sep. 11th exchange backstamp and matching red "12" cent credit handstamp, carried by Cunard Line America from Boston Jan. 12th to Liverpool arriving Jan. 24th, red "Aachen, Franco 26: 1" framed handstamp and magenta "f2" credit, reverse with Bern (1.27), Basel (1.28) transits and Cross-Hochtetten (1.29) arrival cds; partial flap; stamps removed and replaced, 10¢ lightly soiling, F.-V.F.; with 2002 P.F. certificate.
Estimate    $400 - 600.

This cover was prepaid 27¢ for the 27¢ Bremen mails rate, but the NGL Weser could not sail. The 27¢ prepayment was accept as full payment of the 35¢ Prussian Closed Mail rate.
