1868 (Dec. 21) Chicago, Ill. to Berlin, yellow Wolfenee's House corner card cover bearing 3¢ red, grilled (94) strip of four and three singles, tied by cork cancels and matching "Chicago Ill., Dec 21" cds, carried by NGL Line Main from New York Dec. 24th to Bremerhaven arriving Jan. 5th, purple "Bremen, Franco, 5/1 69" framed transit, Jan 6th arrival backstamp, crayon "2" indicating double-weight; some wear, F.-V.F.
Estimate    $150 - 200.

Letter was prepaid for double the 10¢ direct rate. Sender probably over paid 1¢ since the hotel only had 3¢ stamps and it was a Sunday.
