John Hudson Correspondence of 35th Mass. back home to Wayland Mass., few letters with some accompanying covers, starting at Boston and tracing movements of Camp on Arlington Heights, Antietam, Camp at Pleasant Valley Md. including map of Antietam, and finally Camp of 2nd Brig, 2nd Div., 9th A Corps, Virgina; and the A.A. Thayer Correspondence 1862-65 of the 96th Ohio V.I., large group of over 100 letters that include a few patriotics and better patriotic lettersheets incl. "Great Naval Engagement of Fort Jackson" and an A. Lincoln; letters have great content about camp life, traveling widely with various campaigns incl. Vicksburg, Jackson Miss., New Orleans etc.; also includes a fourth pre-war correspondence from a Cadet at the West Point Military Academy; wonderful lot worthy of detailed research; some mixed condition normal to correspondence groups, F.-V.F.
