New Orleans and Louisiana Postal History, 1811-1900s, collection of over 285 in three albums (two are New Orleans) and loose, ship mail, transatlantic mail, express mail, way mail, etc.; better noted 1811 New Orleans, Louisiana Territory cds use, 5¢ #1 tied by ms. cancel on incoming New Orleans "Way" use; 10¢ #2 tied by manuscript 1848 New Orleans use to Cincinnati Oh; 10¢ #2 tied by manuscript and red New Orleans cds on incoming cover; #11A, 17 to France; #28 with trimmed perfs on New Orleans Dec. 1857 cover to Amsterdam; #24 (3) on New Orleans cover to Miss.; #36 used on New Orleans legal-size cover to St. Martinsville La.; #28 strip/3 on cover to France (trimmed toned and stained); #35 (4) trimmed on cover to Mexico; some drop and advertised uses, three New Orleans Carrier handstamp covers; 1828 New Orleans "Mail Route" arced handstamp letter to New York City; 1840s New Orleans blue "Ship" and large "6" rating handstamps on incoming cover from France; 1827 Providence to New Orleans with "Ship 14½" two-line h.s.; Louisiana mail is mostly 3¢ Nesbitts from various cities like Baton Rouge, Forest Grove, Francisville, Plain's Store, Roseville, Taylor, etc.; mixed condition.
