Mexico, 1864, Eagle (1st Period), 8r dark red, without district overprint, block of 15, o.g., never hinged, light horizontal creases between stamps, still Very Fine, the largest recorded multiple of the 1864 8r Eagle issue; with 2010 M.E.P.S.I. certificate. Scott No. 25c Estimate $1,000 - 1,500.
These are not the cheap reprints (which are dull color and smaller in length) but the taller bright color stamps used in the first period believed to be from plate I.
