Secretary's Office/Buffalo International Fair/Buffalo, N.Y. Two covers with similar yet different illustrated designs showing the Main Expo. Building, one in black used in 1889 franked with 2¢ Bank Note (small defect) & one in orange undated & franked with 1¢ Bank Note, cover with black design with matching illustrated letterhead, Very Fine, a very pretty pair.

Lot 2004    

Secretary's Office/Buffalo International Fair/Buffalo, N.Y. Official corner card on cover with all-over illustration showing the Main Fair Building in orange, franked with 2¢ Bank Note tied by Buffalo, N.Y. duplex cancel, reduced at right, also included is 1892 Expo. ad cover with all over design in red, franked with 1890 2¢ tied by Buffalo machine cancel, reduced at right affecting stamp, Very Fine, no advertising covers are recorded by Bomar.

Secretary's Office/Buffalo International Fair/Buffalo, N.Y. Printed corner card in orange on 1889 cover with stunning matching all-over design showing the Main Exposition Building, franked with 2¢ green Bank Note tied by "Buffalo, N.Y." duplex cancel, included is original enclosure with matching black printed letterhead "Buffalo International Fair and Tobacco Exposition", sent to Bismark, Dakota Chamber of Commerce inviting them to the Fair as it will encourage investment and emigration to the State, flap missing, Very Fine and attractive, no advertising cover are recorded in Bomar.

Buffalo, N.Y. Exposition/Aug. 26, 1892/Branch Office. Double circle postmark (Bomar B92-01) tying 1890 2¢ on cover with illustrated corner card of "Frank H. Lattin, Publisher of The Oologists", adhesive additionally tied by negative star cancel, reduced at right & tiny cover tear at left, Very Fine, a very rare Exposition marking of which only four examples are recorded.

Buffalo, N.Y. Intern'l Fair/Sep. 13/Branch Office (1892). Wonderful full strike of double circle postmark (Bomar B89-01) on 2¢ green Postal entire with negative Star cancel, reduced at right into indicia, Very Fine strike, a very rare marking of which only four examples are recorded.

(1888 Centennial Exposition of the Ohio Valley and Central States, Cincinnati). Cinci., O. Exposition Sta. Numeral "5" Duplex cancel (Bomar C88-01) tying 2¢ green Bank Note on 1888 illustrated Expo. advertising cover with corner card of "Ohio Honorary Commissioners/Park Building", reverse with spectacular all over design of the Expo. showing the Expo. Main Building, included is matching illustrated letterhead with the committee inviting addressee to use their apartments on the Expo. grounds, reduced at right affecting design on reverse, F.-V.F., a stunning cover and an unrecorded postmark.

Bold cds (Bomar C88-02) on 1¢ Postal card used locally with "Cincinnati, O." duplex cancel, addressed to 1st Floor Park Building, Exposition, City, Extremely Fine, a wonderful example of this rare marking, only 6 examples recorded.

Spectacular all over illustrated design showing a "Frontier" motif in printed in blue on reverse of 2¢ Postal entire with Columbus postmark, entire with printed corner card of the "Centennial Exposition Board of Directors", Extremely Fine.

(1888 Florida Sub-Tropical Exposition, Jacksonville) Sub-Trop Ex. Station., Jacksonville, Fla. Bold double circle postmark (Bomar J88-01) on cover franked with 2¢ green Bank Note (trivial rounded corner) cancelled by matching grid cancel, Extremely Fine, one of the rarest of all Exposition marking, only three examples recorded.

Bold serrated circle postmark (Bomar J88-02) on 1¢ Postal card from Augusta, Me. with duplex cancel, addressed to Henry Bailey, Jacksonville, Florida (Opposite Sub Tropical Building), second card from Henry Bailey to Augusta, Me. cancelled with bold "Sub-Trop Ex. Station., Jacksonville, Fla." double circle postmark (Bomar J88-01), Extremely Fine, a wonderful pair of very rare Exposition cards.
