Mint and used singles on album and stock pages, perf 11½x12 issues including used blocks with pane of 59 and marginal block o6 showing downward shifted perfs in first row, additional mint blocks and singles with an array of shades, perf 11 issues including used irregular marginal blocks of 20, mint block of 4 in the dull red shade, also an array of mint and used singles; few flaws to be expected, F.-V.F. overall. Scott No. 23-23a.

Tied by "Apia, Samoa, Jan 2" cds's on fresh 1895 registered Sellschopp corner card cover to Frankfurt, Germany, matching "Registered" straight line and "R" in circle handstamps, red London registry oval date stamp and receiving backstamp; central cover file fold, Very Fine, a NZMPO seal bag usage which did not go via Auckland (Odenweller 449).
