Following the Franco-Prussian War, there was no postal treaty between occupied France and France, so stamps of both countries paid domestic postage.

Prussia, 1850, 1sgr Black on Rose, 2sgr Black on Blue, 3sgr Black on Yellow, all stamps four margins, tied by three strikes of numeral "258" in concentric circles on 1852 folded letter addressed to Frankfurt, matching "Coeln" (11.9) cds, Extremely Fine and choice, a wonderful three-color franking. Michel No. 2, 3, 4.
